Topographic Survey

Topographic surveys are carried out using total station and GPS equipment in order to create accurate maps of archaeological sites and monuments. These can be combined with Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) to allow contour plots to be produced in GIS software.

Archaeological Surveys equipment pool includes Topcon Robotic total stations, CSI differential GPS and Novatel RTK survey grade GPS using Leica's Smartnet correction service. Software includes both CAD and GIS packages.
